Albariño
/al-bah-REE-nyoh/Albariño is the signature white grape of Spain's Galicia, producing aromatic, saline-edged whites that are among the world's finest seafood wines. Grown near the cool Atlantic coast of Rías Baixas, it delivers bright citrus and stone-fruit character with a distinctive unmistakable maritime minerality. In Portugal it is known as Alvarinho, the soul of Vinho Verde.
