Marsanne

/mar-SAN/

Marsanne is a full-bodied white grape of the northern Rhône, most famous as the principal variety of the great white Hermitage and Crozes-Hermitage. With naturally low acidity and broad, waxy texture, it produces rich, honeyed wines that gain remarkable complexity and depth with bottle age. In Australia it has found a second home in the blend known as Marsanne-Roussanne.
